Visitors from afar.

Pauanui today 07-12-2016.
Two visitors from afar as captured by Richard Currie.
Cessna 185C ZK-CHK (c/n 185-0755) has been with Tony Delaney of Delaney Aviation of Twizel since September 2003.
It came on the scene in December of 1964 thanks to the NZ Cessna agents Rex Aviation (NZ) Ltd of New Plymouth and went to work for Rural Aviation (1963) Ltd having been delivered on 03-10-1964.
It joined N Z Tourist Air Travel Ltd at Queenstown in August 1967 and followed the Company changes from Mount Cook Air Service, Mount Cook Airlines, Mount Cook and Southern Lakes Tourist Co Ltd from July 1973 and The Mount Cook Group from February of 1978.
Then it went to Southern Aviation Services (1970) Ltd of Dunedin in May 1979 and following a rebuild went to Cliff Marchant of Outdoor Aviation Ltd in January 1980.
Ten years later it was with Freefall Ltd (Bernie Haskell) at Taupo and then down with Glenorchy Air Services and Tourist Co Ltd from 07-01-1993.
From further afar is the Diamond DA42 Twin Star N121TS (c/n 42.AC126) as currently listed with Gateway Air Center Inc of Merced, California. So it is a likely candidate for the NZ register.
It was first registered to the Diamond Aircraft Sales USA Inc of London, Ontario in early April 2008 for delivery to S and W Aviation of Statesville, North Carolina late the following month.
