Thanks to AgairNZ for the photo of the ex VH-VNT RV 7 as ZK-RVQ. More accurately this RV 7 is ZK-RVQ2, which reminded me of the previous ZK-RVQ which was also a Vans, but a RV 9A.
ZK-RVQ (c/n 90612) is ex N9621S. It was imported into New Zealand by Total Entertainment Systems (Stu Clumpas) and was first registered here on 23/8/12. It was assembled at Feilding by Avcraft where a new cowling was installed. It is photo'd above at Ardmore on 20/7/13.
On 31/8/15 it was re-registered as ZK-STU4 and it is now painted in this attractive colour scheme, as seen in the Planespace hangar at Ardmore on 5/8/16. (For completeness and to illustrate the full New Zealand rego merry-go-round, the first three ZK-STU's were a Robertson B1-RD and two Cirrus SR 22s).
