Richard Curie reports from Pauanui.
The Nelson Aero Club/Nelson aviation College Ltd's Cessna 172P Skyhawk II ZK-ETU (c/n 74929) floats in to land at Pauanui this afternoon.
This was an August 1981 listing with Dalhoff and King Aviation Ltd (shortly to become Motor Holdings) of Ardmore for transfer to T A McKee of Clinton in May of 1982. It replaced his Cessna A185F ZK-DLX which had been on sold to Harvie Beetham of Pongaroa.
ZK-ETU was back with Motor Holdings (Aviation) Ltd of Dunedin in July of 1984 and then with Ron Sew Hoy at Waimate until joining the Nelson Aero Club (Inc) in March of 1990.
I believe the Nelson Aero Club still own the aircraft - it still wears the Club titles in the fin fillet - and it s operated by the Nelson Aviation College Ltd.
The Stephen Jones Vans RV7 ZK-NVS (c/n 72596) landing into the sun this evening.
ZK-NVS = Envious - first flew on 27-11-2009 having been registered on the 23rd.
