It was a fabulously fine day for flying at Te Kowhai yesterday, with a bit of bumpiness thrown in from thermals. The fine weather also bought some other sport aircraft out into the sun and some of the other hangars were opened up.
The Te Kowhai airstrip has now been re-opened to its full length and a lot of maintenance work is being done by the new owners. The place looked very picturesque.
It was the first time I had seen Arion Aircraft Lightning UL ZK-TDT (c/n 46), and it has not been posted on the blog before. It is a very smooth looking aircraft.
