Richard Currie reports once again from Pauanui.
The Robinson R22 Beta II ZK-HXL3 (c/n 3346) has been listed with Heli-Hire Ltd of Rotorua since 05-09-2012.
And Eurocopter EC 130 B4 ZK-IBX2 (c/n 4445) has been with Advanced flight since being registered here on 28-08-2008.
This Cessna 172M Skyhawk II ZK-KMC (c/n 17263524) was originally registered as ZK-DRW thanks to Rex Aviation (NZ) Ltd of Ardmore on 08-11-1974 and went to the North Otago Aero Club at Oamaru from 29-01-1975.
It was listed to the Kienan Trust of Wanganui on 23-06-2006 and was re-registered as ZK-KMC on 25-08-2015
This Piper PA-34-200T Turbo Seneca II ZK-TSD (c/n 34-8070356) had a previous life with the Secretary for Transport having been registered as ZK-DCQ on 28-10-1980.
It was sold in July 1993 to Tom Dick of Bellview Flight Centre at Christchurch.
Tom re-registered it as ZK-TSD on 01-09-1993.
Five owners later it was with Flight Corporation Ltd at Nelson until sold to current owner Wills Management Structures Ltd of Hamilton on 12-02-2010.
An unexpected shot is the Aerosport Scamp ZK-PET (c/n AACA/680) which is under a slow rebuild with Tony Whitehead at Pauanui.
This was initially registered to Tony on 13-02-1986 and I believe this was the first aircraft to operate in the Experimental Category in NZ.
It was designated as a Ultralight on 27-02-2001 but was withdrawn and its registration was cancelled on 12-08-2011.
The story of the NZ Scamps can be seen HERE
