Warbird Jets

On a recent trip to Queenstown it was nice to catch Aero L-29 ZK-JET at its new base following Double X Aviation moving south from Tauranga late last year along with their Harvard and Yak 52.

In other warbird jet news, it has been mentioned on the wires we can expect ex RNZAF Strikemaster NZ6362 to return to NZ skies this year.  The jet was exported to Australia in the 90's and became VH-AGI based at Jandakot near Perth.

And to the best of our knowledge, NZ6372 (pictured below at the Ardmore open day late last year) is yet to fly, and is not yet on the ZK register.
