Art Deco weekend at Napier # 1

IN THE HEAT OF THE DAY.

Nick Furmage has kindly sent in a selection of photographs taken yesterday (18-02-2012) at Napier Airport. This flyin is part of theNapier City Art Deco Weekend.
Photographing across the sealed runway has produced some interesting heat effects.
Above are Harvards ZK-MJN (NZ1052), ZK-ENF (NZ1065), ZK-JJA (NZ1053) and ZK-ENG (NZ1078).
I won't try and guess the registration of this Mooney !
On second thoughts - with a bit of a promp - it is Granvilles Jone's ZK-CPP.
De Havilland DH82A ZK-AJP (c/n 82346) climbs into the unstable atmosphere.
NZ1052 (or ZK-MJN) with Bluff Hill in the background and one of Napier's well known trees along the main drag.

  2. Oh dear.
I got it correct in the first pic, but wrong in the second view.
Nice to know that there is somebody out there that actually studies the blog postings.
    Thanks for the stir up.
Correction made to original text. Thanks
