The Helicopter Line have had a couple of Squirrels based in the
Twizel township for some years; beside the hotel and near the DOC HQ.
Recently they moved to the
Pukaki Airfield which is currently in the throes of development with hangar/accommodation sites being sold off and sealed road/taxi ways laid down.

I have been through there twice recently. On 09-12-2009 AS355F1
Ecureuil 2
ZK-HMI2 (c/n 5029) and AS355F1 Twin Star ZK-HKF2 (c/n 5200) sat forlornly under the rain and low cloud.

On 02-01-2010, under more pleasant conditions, the AS350D AStar
ZK-HBR2 (c/n 1386) had replaced ZK-HMI.![](https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgBZ5tHSNXjamYiMbOmW0le9jiTK5yv5E7-m1VVjFZV8l1AW5NCaje9AWJKM0wmbjTiXmFDU2BW7CkKR5p0RrAk0m1Y_7Nh2cSuc2546Xu2wu0EVVDyY7c42pJ9f3xbrSXtc8RPquhmhL_E/s400/HBR+Pukaki+02-01-10.JPG)
