The same winds encountered by Keith at Kaipara Flats below have curtailed much of the activity at the Pauanui airfield recently, the exception being the regular flow of helicopters dropping off and picking up families staying around the town.
Amongst these were a couple of EC130T2s being ZK-IEC3 registered to Force Aviation, Coromandel
And ZK-IPV4 from HeliCorp Hamilton using a callsign 'Heli 03'.
The Auckland based helicopter operators Advanced Flight and HeleTranz have also been regular daily visitors.
Braving the winds was Christchurch based Jabiru J230 ZK-PSH
