Andy Heap has supplied me with these five pics of the Cessna A185E Skywagon ZK-JEM
2 . This is c/n 01780. To save having to decide which was the best, I have put up all five on the blog.
This 185 started work in 1970 with the Missionary Aviation Fellowship of Box Hill, Victoria as VH-MFS. It transferred to P2-MFS in 1974 and in May of 1974 it moved to Bouganville Air Services at Kieta and became P2-BAM. Father Flynn feature during this period. In August 1984 it was refurbished and became VH-JBM and after three more Australian owners it ferried into Auckland on 17-06-1993 to become
ZK-JEM2 with South East Air of Invercargill on 29-06-1993.
I flew this aircraft in Bougainville from 1974 to 1981 . Great work horse.
