Eight aircraft from the Greater Wellington area pulled into Pauanui for a coffee break yesterday (18-03-2017) before heading on to Whitianga.
Cessna 172N ZK-CHN (c/n 17251986) is of 1964 vintage and has been listed with Jonathan Laubscher of Porirua since April of 2010.
The Kapiti Districts Aero Club Cessna 172S Skyhawk SP ZK-KAL3 (c/n 172S10305) began its NZ career as ZK-JRE in December 2006 and was re-registered after joining the Kapiti Club in April 2015.
Another of the Wellington group was the Grumman American AA-1C Lynx ZK-LFS (c/n AA1C-0191) as listed with Lynx Air Ltd. Its registration of 'LFS' coming from its first NZ operator - the Lakeland Flying School Ltd out of Taupo from 1994.
Simon Ford of Porirua arrived with his Tecnam P2002 Sierra ZK-LSF (c/n 486).
Then came the Vans RV-6 ZK-VRV (c/n 24692) of Peter Merwood.
Also from the the Kapiti Aero Club were the Cessna 172S ZK-KAZ2 and the Piper PA-38-112 Tomahawk ZK-TDL, Plus the Diamond DA40 Diamond Star ZK-MTZ (c/n 40.373) of Richard Steed.

CHN did a flyby circuit at Waihi Beach Airstrip 18/3 around 1030.Also present were JAN which took off after CHN overflew and DGL.
