Ardmore Action

Its either a feast or a famine at Auckland's Ardmore airport and it doesn't seem to matter what the weather. A visit on the afternoon of 30 March under stunning blue skies saw the place reasonably quiet, however 24 hours later and under gloomy conditions the circuit was packed and a number of non flying school aircraft were out and about.

Also locally based is the Piper PA32R-300 Lance ZK-EIB
Vans RV7A ZK-LVA is a regular sight operating from Ardmore.

Cessna 152 ZK-MDF is registered to Contract Air of Nelson but may well have become a new Ardmore resident with it conducting circuits 30 March.

Flight Hauraki have been based at Ardmore for the last year or more and their Cessna 207 ZK-MDZ was busily conducting touch and goes 30 March. It is one of just two 207's still in the country, the other is ZK-FQY flying from Central Otago.

  1. ZK-EIB.... 'Lance' rather than a taper wing 'Saratoga'?
