Terry Fletcher called in at Milford Sound on 16-03-2016 and found these three aircraft not seen on these pages previously.
Eurocopter EC 130 T2 ZK-IMW (c/n 8077) belongs with Helicopters Queenstown Ltd having been registered to them on 26-05-2016. 26-05-2015.
Above the Gippsland GA8 Airvan ZK-MCZ2 (c/n GA8-07-116) was the second for Milford Sound Flights Ltd of Queenstown being registered to them on 31-07-2013.
It had an earlier life in Australia it was first
registered as VH-BVJ on 24-10-2007 to Gippsland Aeronautics Pty Ltd and was
re-listed to Wraxwood Pty Ltd for delivery to (on 19-05-2008) Slingair of
Kununurra.
It was listed back with GippsAero in July of 2011.
It ferried across
the ditch from Coolangatta and Lord Howe Island on 20-07-2013.
Another of the species is Gippsland GA8 Airvan ZK-SLW (c/n GA8-08-136) which has been with the Wakatipu Aero Club's Air Wakatipu arm since 04-12-2015.
This arrived in Queenstown on
November the 17th 2015 direct from Essendon and joined their other example ZK-SLQ.
A 2008 model built as VH-AEA5
with Gippsland Aeronautics Pty Ltd of Morwell Victoria on 09-01-2009. It appeared at the March 2009 Avalon Airshow mounted on stands demonstrating its
retractable FLIR (forward looking infrared radar) equipment housed in an under
fuselage pod. Post its demonstration duties it was listed to G.A.Finance
Australia Pty Ltd for operations by Kimberly Aviation Pty Ltd out of Broome
West Australia from 01-05-2009.
