Sorry Anonymous - I am so familiar with Wellington Airport that I didn't think to identify it. The photo is taken from the hill between Miramar and Evans Bay, looking South out to Cook Strait. I took the photo in December 2018.
Thanks S M , what stumped me was the SIA tail as I didn't realise they flew into WN , also no whitecaps on the water , no place like Wellington on a nice day.
I was hoping someone else was going to ask .
