Spitfire LF XVI TB252 Has Flown in the US

Following the successful test flying of Spitfire LF XVI ZK-NLJ from Ardmore in December/January it was exported to the US for its owner Charles Somers of Hillsboro, Oregon, being cancelled from the New Zealand register on 15/3/21.

It was registered N752TB in the US on 25/3/21. It was issued with its Special Airworthiness Certificate on 4/5/21 and has now been test flown from McClellan Air Force Base in California.  It has acquired a new emblem just forward of the cockpit.  The iconic elliptical wing planform is shown well in the shadow in the photo.

Congratulations to Avspecs on another excellent restoration.
