While at Forest Field for the RAANZ flyout last weekend, Blue Bus and I ferretted around to find a Super STOL on a private airstrip close to the main airfield.
ZK-KAB (c/n JA314-08-13) was first registered to the KAB syndicate on 30/ 11/15.
It has an interesting "glass" cockpit consisting of two i-pads which are driven by an iLevil AW unit ( see http://aviation.levil.com/ ). It seems very powerful and it is also much lighter than conventional instruments. Of course being an i-pad it can also display a moving map and be loaded with aerodrome charts (or anything else you want).
