Long lens and a wintery sun at NZCH

A mid afternoon arrival at NZCH yesterday (03-06-2014) was the NASA Gulfstream V N677F (c/n 677) here for the Deepwave project. Check out :-
You can see at least four sensors protruding from the airframe.
An early morning arrival today was "Mainland One" the inaugural service from Oamaru to Christchurch and return. The aircraft is Piper PA-31-350 Chieftain ZK-KVW (c/n 31-7752004).
See :- http://3rdlevelnz.blogspot.co.nz/2014/06/oamarus-new-air-service-gets-airborne.html
With the B1900's starting to be withdrawn - I thought it time to get a few pics of them.
Here ZK-EAE (c/n  UE-428) awaits its next batch of passengers.
The Cessna 182H ZK-MGB ( c/n 18256545) arrives from points north and does a neat two wheeler.
Also arriving from northern nether regions was the Helio H-250 Courier ZK-TCE (c/n 2503) of Beckenham Hills Ltd.
Note the slats/slots and the "leading edge interceptors" (Spoilers) flush near the upper leading edge of the wing surface. These hinge up with the aileron
It is hard to believe that the Courier evolved from a somewhat modified Piper PA-17.
Two departures. Above the Airbus A320 VH-VFF (c/n 5039) tucking its gear away.
And Dash 8 ZK-NEO (c/n 633) scurries off.

Two Boeings 737's getting ready for a days work :- ZK-NGD and ZK-NGI
 With ZK-NGK  going nowhere.
