Black is where its at........

What is becoming more and more the norm is the use of black in aircraft colour schemes, notably helicopters for some odd reason and of course the recently announced makeover of the Air New Zealand fleet to feature black tails.

Today at Ardmore there was a selection of black helicopters and one odd man out.

Nice to see Advanced Flight back at Ardmore.  Pikes Point based Eurocopter EC130 ZK-HKX was beating the circuit

No markings but has to be Bell 427 ZK-HVN morphing into its Inflite scheme

Another Advanced Flight machine, NZ's only Bell 429 ZK-HXW having avionics work carried out.

Registered to Tauranga interests, Robinson R22 Beta ZK-IRG
Odd man out!  BK117 B-2 ZK-HOU was conducting a maintenance test filght.  This was photographed in January wearing some blue accents  http://nzcivair.blogspot.co.nz/2012/01/ardmore-visits.html
