At Masterton 15-02-2016.
Captured taxiing back to its hangar at Masterton today was the Piper PA-18S-105 Cub ZK-KSS (c/n 18-2404) of the Killintime Syndicate of Wellington.
Note below comes from the NZ Aviation News Magazine's ZK-Register Update Column.
This Cub was built with a 108hp Lycoming O-235 engine with the “S” in the designation signifying ‘Seaplane’.
As N290T it served its first twenty years in the States until
moving to Canada in August of 1973 to become C-FVHS with Kenneth Race. Another
twenty years on it was still with Kenneth Race and Dennis Sutton at Reddith,
Ontario.
In February 2013 it passed to Walsten Aircraft Parts & Leasing Inc
of Kenora, Ontario only to be relisted to Atlantic Aircraft Salvage Ltd at
Enfield, Nova Scotia on 23-05-2013.
It was registered to the Killintime
Syndicate of Wellington on 30-11-2015.

ReplyDeleteIt is destined to return to floats in the near future.
ReplyDeleteI'd never heard of a PA18S-108 until KSS arrived. Not mentioned in my genuine Piper Super Cub brochure
