A quick look at Christchurch International this afternoon found the Cessna R172K Hawk XPII Stol ZK-MKY (c/n R17233143) on the tie downs beside the Canterbury Aero Club Hangar.

A product of 1979 this Continental O-360 powered Cessna operated in the USA as N758JX until arriving in NZ to become ZK-KJW for K J Weir of Takaka from April of 1995.

It was sold on to A R and S S McKay of Heli-Flight Wairarapa Ltd of Masterton and re-registered as ZK-MKY from 28-02-1997. It was registered to the Company from 22-12-1999 and then on sold to Dougal Rillstone of Dunedin in February 2000.

Denis Heenan of Mossburn took it on from January of 2019.
