Another Dreamliner Laid Up

Another visit to Auckland International last week as I traveled to Wellington, and another Air New Zealand Dreamliner laid up at their engineering base sans its Rolls Royce Trents.

A somewhat cluttered shot of ZK-NZE2 taken from the 380 airporter bus on 18 April.

2 comments:

  1. NZE has been minus engines since inflight shutdown and subsequent ground back in early December 2017.

  2. Problems with the RR Trent 1000 C series engine continues, with cracks now found in Intermediate Pressure compressor blades. The ETOPS range with B787s fitted with this engine has been cut from 330 to 140 minutes restricting significantly the aircraft's operational flexibility
