Down at Herbert 05-09-2015

A quick visit into Central South Island Helicopters Ltd at Herbert on Saturday found three of their machines on site.
MD NOTAR ZK-HDN2 (c/n LN080) was an Oceania Helicopters import in July of 2004 and transferred down to Herbert for Central South Island Helicopters from 19-01-2007.
Their second NOTAR is ZK-HDW3 (c/n LN073), also via Oceania from 23-09-2004.
Both NOTAR's are well know for carry that long MAD detector.
Aerospatiale AS 350B Squirrel ZK-HGO2 came into the Country for a major rework by Heliquip International of Nelson and was registered to them on 18-08-1992. After damage at Fox Glacier in November 1993 it went back to Heliquip for another rebuild. It was upgraded to an AS350 BA model in May of 1999.
A real South Island machine with all its operators being based at either Fox, Te Anau, Queenstown or Herbert.
It joined Central South Island Helicopters on 16-01-2012.
Their second Squirrel - the B3 ZK-IOJ - was away working on "The Coast".
