Rangiora open day on Saturday April first.

On Saturday the Canterbury Recreational Aircraft Club held an open day at Rangiora. It was very pleasing to see the re-emergence of the Micro Aviation B10 Bantam ZK-LII c/n 0010.
First listed back on 05-07-1984 to the Bantam creator Max Smith at Te Kowhai near Hamilton.
Five owners later it was listed from 06-11-1997 with Phil Purchas of Masons Flat in North Canterbury. Following many years in storage it turned up at Rangiora earlier this year and was quickly tidied up by Graeme Main and Chris Pennell, having been well looked after whilst in storage, and was re-flown again on 31-03-2023.

The new addition for Tie-Upp Aviation at Rangiora is the Pipistrel Alpha Trainer ZK-FTD2 c/n 1120 AT 912 LSA.
It joins their other Alpha Trainer ZK-TGS which is parked just beyond.
The all-electric Alpha Electric ZK-EAL4 of Electric Airlines is in the distance.

The Zenair STOL CH750 ZK-DUR c/n 75-11429 was proudly on display.
