It was just 1 week ago when we flew down to New Plymouth in John Crone's new VL3 in company with Rodger Coleclough in his Cirrus. As it was such a lovely day that we took the opportunity to take a few air to air shots as we passed Raglan. Some of the photos came out pretty good but these two were taken of each other at very nearly the same time.
That is Mt Karioi behind us in the VL 3.
And the wind turbines on the flanks of Mt Pirongia behind the Cirrus.
Great shot of Mt Karioi. Hiking up that ridgeline on foot is pretty brutal though!
