Jodel D 9 ZK-CTW was New Zealand's first example, built by Max Murray of Geraldine and first flying at Timaru way back on 2 December 1969. We have had 12 Jodel D 9s registered here and by the 50th Anniversary celebrations we were down to 6 examples left flying.
However Ross Brodie rescued ZK-CTW from the Wairarapa and after a refurbishment at Rangitata Island he re-registered it on 9/9/20.
And on 20/10/20 Ross took ZK-CTW into the air again after a gap of 24 years. The photos are screen shots from the day.
