Centenary of the Armistice Approaching - Sopwith Triplanes Then and Now

With the approach of the Centenary of the Armistice a couple of days way, I thought I would post some images in remembrance:

A great image of King George V and Queen Mary inspecting Sopwith Triplanes being built at the Sopwith Aviation Company Ltd at Kingston-on-Thames on 19 April 1917, being shown around by Thomas Sopwith.

Fast forward more than 100 years to The Vintage Aviator's Sopwith Triplane replica at Masterton on 29 September 2018.  This aircraft is painted up as the aircraft of Canadian flyer Lt Raymond Collishaw CB, DSO and Bar, OBE, DSC, DFC who was the highest scoring ace of the RNAS and who flew the Triplane during 1917.
