Black Sands at Te Kowhai 5-11-2022 (2)

I have posted previously about Black Sands at Te Kowhai that was held over the weekend of 4-5-6/11/22, but here are a few more photos from Jordan Elvy of what I reckon are first time attendees at a Black Sands flyin:

Thorp T 18 CW ZK-TOP was registered to a Tauranga owner on 23/5/22 after many years in the South.

Alan Farr from New Plymouth has acquired Alpi Pioneer 200 ZK-WER.  At the last Black Sands he flew in in his Titan Tornado ZK-RSR which he has since sold to an owner in Murupara.

ZK-PBH is a 2 seat  R  & B Bearhawk that came from Hawera.

The aircraft that flew the furthest to Black Sands was the Bob Jelly built RV 7 ZK-RWJ which came all the way from Taieri flown by its new owner.  (Normally Rex Newman from Omaka flies the furthest to attend Black Sands).

There were other first time attendees that have been well covered on the blog previously.  By my reckoning they included Rob McNair's Pitts S 1 ZK-RMR, Duane Keenan's Alpi Pioneer 300 ZK-DMK,  the Thorp Syndicate's Thorp S 18 ZK-MBY, Vans RV 10 ZK-PHL, Roger Coleclough's Searey ZK-SRY, Dave Campbell- Morrison's RV 12 ZK-SCM, and probably RV 8s ZK-SST and ZK-ZRV.

The summer flying season is off to a good start around the country.

Thanks for the photos Jordan.
