An open day was held at Rangiora on Saturday for the public to check out the lighter side of aviation.
The weather behaved itself and a good turn out was noted.
The three CRAC (Canterbury Recreational Aircraft Club Inc) Tecnam,s ZK-RGA, ZK-RGB and ZK-RGC were busy most of the day with a brief circuit or longer trial flights available.
Above we have the Chris Anderson CH701 SuperSTOL ZK-TIA (c/n 7-4514) about to join the static display.
The Rans S6S ZK-CER (c/n 11021465) spent its first ten years with its Blenheim owner. Since September 2017 is has been with J and E Hart of Timaru.
One we don't see out very often is the Paul Godfrey Maxair Sport Drifter XP503 ZK-XPC (c/n MAANZ/392). It is for sale if you are interested.
On its first out of hangar excursion is the as yet unregistered Australian AV Works Karatoo J6C.
