Mangaweka DC-3 latest update.

The following comment has been added to this earlier blog.
I believe the aircraft now has a new paint scheme - the Chocolate Chippies have gone.

DC3 Mangaweka has left a new comment on your post "Gasoline Alley - Mangaweka - Update - Internationa...":

An update...
It has been decided that the DC3 in Mangaweka is going to tell the tale of this fine aircraft as seen through the eys of those who flew in them (pilots, cabin crew, navigators), worked around them, travelled in them or watched them from afar.

Not your average museum, we want your stories!

PLEASE get in touch with us if you have any fond (or even not so fond... although haven't heard any YET) memories of the aircraft.

We want to preserve these memories for alltime.

  1. Now a Cafe selling great Coffee, PO Shop, Superette, and a tourist/booking centre for rafting and other action adventures in Mangaweka and along the Rangitikei River. The Aeroplane has be repainted in the old NAC colours (Blue and Cremy-white, with logo's) and is open for viewing inside. Worth a stop as weel as a look at the Art Galleries in town, next time your passing on State Highway One, Rangitikei.
