Lord Nelson reports from NZNS

Lord Nelson has taken these photographs at Nelson today (17-07-2011).
Above is the Walter powered Fletcher Fu24 ZK-EML (c/n 264) which has been out of the air for some months whilst its engine was repaired. This has been re-fitted and it now awaits final checks from the Wanganui Aero Work engineers. It is likely to return to Omaka and allow the FU24-950 ZK-EGK to  go back north.
Below is the Fletcher FU24-550GT Crusader ZK-DDX (c/n 160).
This had moved up from Oamaru to cover for ZK-EML whilst its engine was sorted out.
It had a wire strike near Paturau on 02-06-2011 during sowing operation but landed back at its strip ok. It is now back in the air again.
About to depart was the Cessna A185F ZK-EFB (c/n 03046) of Graham Reynolds from Auckland.
In the Nelson Airport scrapyard area was the remains of the Piper PA-28-161 Warrior 11 ZK-EQS (c/n 28-8016367) which had a power loss on take off at Takaka on 25-01-2011. It is soon to be struck from the register.
Not far from the scrapyard is the Piper PA31-350 Chieftain ZK-MYS (c/n 31-7652032) with engine away for a bulk strip following a landing with the nosewheel still up. Note one of the propellers in the foreground.
