A visit to the Southern Lakes Helicopters' base near the Te Anau township found their new MBB BK117C-1 ZK-IMX busy on tourist flights. This was imported mid year from Australia having spent most of its earlier life in Russia. In due course it will be repainted into their fleet colours.
Down at the Te Anau lakeshore Wings & Water have now returned Cessna U206C ZK-DRH to the lake, it having spent the Covid years out of the water at Te Anau Airport. It has been repainted in a smart new scheme in the same style as their other U206 floatplane ZK-DRI2.
And at Te Anau/Manapouri Airport Aurum Helicopters' Cromwell based R44 II ZK-HEZ3 sprayer came in for attention from Aerofix.
