A visit to Taieri airfield today offered much of the Helicopters Otago fleet over the course of the afternoon and amongst these were the following starting with the EC145/BK117D-2 ZK-IXD which the company reregistered from ZK-IDH in October this year. It was originally imported new in July 2019.
One of 7 BK117B models operated is Kawasaki BK117B-2 ZK-IWG which was originally imported from Japan in mid 2015.
One of 5 Bell 206B Jetrangers operated is ZK-HWK4 which was imported from Australia in 2001.
And one of 2 Bell 206L LongRangers is 206L-4 ZK-ITL2 which arrived from India in 2013
And doing engine runs on the other side of the airfield was Autogyro Cavalon ZK-RDP3 c/n V00374 which is locally owned. It was imported new in 2019 to replace RDP2 c/n V00265 which suffered an accident in January 2018.
