Captured today by Geoff Lloyd was the Trent XWB powered Airbus Industrie A350 -941 F-WXWB (c/n 1) at Wellington Airport carry out wet runway trials
It is seen above taxiing back to line up for a runway 16 departure for another wet runway circuit.
Geoff says 'Quite impressive watching this thing land and take off. Probably empty but using far less runway than the old 320.'
'Fire boys had fun flooding the runway from about the 1500 to 3000 ft mark. Plenty of spray when the reverse thrust went on'.
