A visit to Ardmore this afternoon saw quite a bit of action as it was the nicest day we have had in Auckland for a long time. Some NZ Warbirds aircraft were out enjoying the flying conditions:
Ryan ST 3KR ZK-RYN
(c/n 2062) "853" is now owned by NZ Warbirds (ownership transferred on 11/3/16), and is active again with Warbirds pilots getting type ratings.
Three Harvards "NZ 1065", "NZ 1057" and "NZ 1053" rejoined overhead in formation before peeling off for landings.
Warbirds chief pilot Frank Parker shutting down NZ 1065. It carries less logos than when I last photographed it, with only the Roaring 40s logo remaining.
And at Avspecs the next Mosquito is coming along nicely.
