ZK-WET goes West.

Cessna 207A Stationair ZK-WET c/n 207A-00375 departed Kerikeri on 29-05-09 for Norfolk Island on 29-05-2009. The following day to passed through Lord Howe Island and on to Kempsey. with its NZ registration cancelled on 02-06-09.
It came to NZ as VH-SLD arriving on 24-03-1985 having been operated by S & T Enterprises Pty Ltd out of Cairns since 13-05-1977.
It was registered as ZK-WET on 01-04-1985 to Motor Holdings (Aviation) Ltd of Dunedin before heading over to Te Anau for Waterwings Airways (TE) Ltd and was listed to then on 3o-04-85.
It had a very close call over Lake Manapouri on 11-12-1986 when it had a minor air to air collision with ZK-DXD. Ownership moved to Milford Sound Scenic Flights Ltd of Quenston on 20-11-2000 & the pic above was taken there on 09-10-08.
Its close workmate Cessna T207A Turbo Stationair 8 ZK-SEW c/n T207A-00584 accompanied it across the Ditch.
ZK-WET was registered as VH-EYR on 03-06-2009 to Wrightsair Pty Ltd of Melton, Victoria and joins ZK-DSE which joined the same Company on 21-05-09.
Now I wonder where ZK-SEW will end up ?

  1. If the Cessna 207 had to win an award for the ugliest aircraft built, it would win!
