A working visit to Ohakea 11Jun netted already well photographed Spitfire Mark IX ZK-SPI sitting in the PTS hanger along side the base's resident Harvard and DH82 (plus a couple of CT4's undergoing maintenance and two Harvards that appear to be instructional airframes).
Recently delivered to the Aviation Sports Club at Ohakea is long time North Shore resident Yak 52 ZK-YAX. It is being leased from Stan Smith for an unknown period of time. This aircraft has been around since the mid 90's but has had some additional markings added since I last saw it a few months ago.
