Another trip to North Shore airfield today for Avgas saw nearly all of the NSAC Robin fleet parked out:
They are ZK-TZG, TZH, TZI2, TZK, TZL2 and TZM3 (TZJ crashed in the South Island in 2007). I will make this into an unofficial Question Time - what is different in this photo? No chocolate fish will be awarded. And what do you think about the way they are parked? (Have a look at the windsock).
ZM has strakes the rest don't
ReplyDeleteThey are parked with the wind, when supposed to be against the wind. Plus, have we covered ZK-TZM in her new colours yet?
ReplyDeleteThere are two Robins regos ZK-TZI parked up, and of course the Islander ZK-PIZ is different! Yep parked with the wind behind them also...
ReplyDeleteJordan Elvy gets the imaginary chocolate fish! The Alpha 2160 ZK-TZM has been painted in the club's colours.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bill, the last Robin 2120 in the line is actually ZK-TZL with the bottom bit of the L obscured. And yes, I thought it not the best practice to park tail on to what was a pretty strong wind although they all have their flaps and tailplanes down.
