The New Zealand Autogyro Association held its annual flyin at Dannevirke over the weekend of 30/31 January 2021. Jordan Elvy and Simon Hills were there:
The line up in front of the Dannevirke Flying School hangar. I reckon there were over 20 autogyros of 11 different models at the flyin from as far away as Whangarei and Wellington.
RAF 2000 GTX ZK-RBK2 came from Tauranga.
Bensen B8M ZK-RDD came from Auckland.
Single Seat Dominator ZK-TMJ came from Putararuru.
Tandem Dominator ZK-RIT is locally based at Dannevirke.
Single Seat Dominator ZK-RCT came from Masterton.
Single Seat Dominator ZK-RON3 is Neil Hintz's demonstrator from Hamilton.
ZK-RAZ4 is registered as a Single Seat Dominator but I reckon it is actually a Tandem model that has a lot of things added, including extra fuel tanks and those much bigger wheels.
And a new type not yet registered, from Stratford.
