Murray Foster RIP

Today I attended the funeral of Murray Foster at Dargaville.  It was sad but also a great celebration of Murray's interesting life - we said on the way home that you don't really know that much about a person until you attend their funeral!

Murray was my first instructor at Dargaville Aero Club, and was the backbone of the club, having been at the aerodrome pretty much 7 days a week for many years.  I really enjoyed driving up to Dargaville and just hanging out with Murray as a parade of visiting aircraft and pilots came and went, plus he was a great instructor and a huge help in passing my microlight exams.

Murray really liked instructing in the Storch because it was easy to get into and out of!

After a celebratory lunch at the club today, club members put up a 5 aircraft/4 gyrocopter fly-by in honour of Murray.

RIP Murray, you will be missed.
