Flying Over the Waitemata Today 15-1-2021

What a fantastic day for the start of the Prada Cup on the Waitemata Harbour this afternoon.  The wind was just about right (For Ineos Team UK at least), the sun shone and there were huge numbers of spectator craft lining both sides of the course which went close to North Head where we were.  It was a truly spectacular grandstand setting.  The races were covered by two AS 350 BA helicopters fitted with very sophisticated cameras:

ZK-HFZ2 of Heletranz flew at low level shadowing the AC 75 foiling monohulls.

While ZK-IEQ of Inflite Skiplanes provided the higher views.

Ineos Team UK flew to two quite dominant victories on the day.

beating both American Magic

and Luna Rossa.

Team New Zealand got a big cheer as they were towed back to base past the racing Ineos Team UK and Luna Rossa.
