Just returned from an early morning spray job was Bay Heliwork's R44 II ZK-HCO3. This was originally imported new back in 2004 and is based at Twyford near Hastings.
The company's other R44 II ZK-HGX3 was unfortunately recently lost in an accident in Arthurs Pass on 19 December 2023.
Over at Hastings airfield Hughes 269C ZK-HBM2 was receiving attention. This belongs to Palmerston North based Alpine Hunting and was imported from Australia in 1996.
And living in the Aroha Helicopters' hangar at Napier Airport is Magni M22 ZK-RAX2 which was imported new in 2022.
Aroha have added 2 AS355F1 to their fleet, ZK-IAV and IVF, to support work being carried out at the Taharoa iron sands project on the North Island's West Coast. IAV is based at Taupo and IVF in Hamilton.
