Heading out from North Shore with David Signal in his Foxbat on a magnificent day yesterday we heard a call from the recently blogged Cessna 206H ZK-SPY2 who was conducting survey runs over Waiheke Island. He was at 1900 feet and we were at 2200 feet so no problems.
He turned for his next run quite near below us so I fired off this photo of him in the bottom left. This is a wide cropped shot so he looks quite small. The island behind in Motuihe Island and the Tamaki River mouth is in the distance.
