On arrival at Auckland International last evening around 1830 hrs I spied Air New Zealand's latest leased Boeing 777-300 parked out. Steve Lowe of our sister blog 3rrd Level New Zealand has sometimes posted desperation shots of aircraft and here is my desperation effort! Apologies for the quality but is was a quick lunge across Lady Minty who had the window seat!
You will have to take my word that it is ZK-OKU (c/n 36157) a 777-367ER model that was leased to Cathay Pacific Airlines from January 2009 by Air Lease Corporation.
It is now on a three year lease to Air New Zealand and arrived in Auckland on 15-10-2023.
It’s not owned by Cathay but Air Lease Corporation.
