Noted at Mandeville on 17-02-2019 was the immaculate De Havilland Canada DHC-1A-2 ZK-DHC2 (c/n 042) as listed with Bill Sutherland.
As yet unflown - I believe it has been sold to an overseas customer.
Below we see it at Mandeville on 18-11-2014.
Do we know the actual origin of this airframe ? According to my records the airframe that was RCAF 18042 was c/n 180-218 , became CAF12042 , then CF-QND , N333HS , then N260DC which is still shown as current with the US FAA
ReplyDeleteHi there Terry.
ReplyDeleteI am lead to believe that this is c/n 042 and ex VT-CVU and came to NZ with a batch of other Indian airframes in about the mid 1990's.
The others being ZK-ARM c/n 60 ex VT-CXM:
ZK-CVM c/n 34 ex VT-CVM: ZK-CVP c/n 37 ex VT-CVP : and ZK-CVR c/n 42 ex VT-CVR.
Can confirm c/n 42 as I saw first hand the c/n plate on the rear of the fuselage in the workshop at Mandeville in late June 2022.
