Three at Christchurch 21-03-2012

On the tie downs on the Western Grass at Christchurch yesterday (21-03-2012) was the Cessna 172m Skyhawk ZK-JNP (c/n 62095) as listed to 45 South Wanaka Ltd. This is a 1974 model that came onto the NZ register on 28-07-1993 as ZK-SAR1 with Aviation and Marine Services, then with the Auckland Volunteer Coast Guard Services Inc in January of 1995. In February 1999 it went to Leslie Aviation at Rotorua and then to Flight 2000 Ltd on 11-01-2000.
It was re-registered as ZK-JNP on 08-03-2002 to a free up the ZK-SAR markings for application to the Cessna 182P - ex ZK-JFI.
As ZK-JNP it returned to the Auckland Volunteer Coast Guard Services Inc in August 2002 and finally to 45 South Wanaka on 05-03-2003.
Part of the Christchurch International Airport Crash Fire Units training gear as seen on the western side of the airfield.
Above we have the ANZ Airbus A320-232 ZK-OJR (c/n 4884) at near full noise.
Seen lurking about in its new livery was the ANZ Boeing 737-3K2 ZK-SJE (c/n 27635) [line # 2721].
This came to NZ in October 2001 following service with Transavia Airlines in the Netherlands. It was intended that it become ZK-NGL but instead it became ZK-SJE with South Pacific Air Charters Ltd (better known to most of us as Freedom Air). It transferred to Air New Zealand on 05-09-2005 and carried out its final revenue service on 13-12-2011. It is destined to become XA-VIT with Aeroenlaces Nacionales SA de CV who trade as Vivaaerobbus.com.
