Healthy Bastards Bush Pilot Champs 2023

The 2023 running of Healthy Bastards was hosted by the Marlborough Aero Club at Omaka on 4 February.  There seemed to be fewer competitors than previously but the enthusiasm level was high.  Here are some of the winners:

Hamish Crowe had the lowest aggregate STOL score of 40.5 metres in his Zenith CH 701 ZK-SLO.

First equal in the spot landing competition right on the line was Cameron McKenzie in his Cessna 172 taildragger ZK-MLY2.

And he was joined with a prefect landing by Vaughn Davis in his Piper PA 28R-201T Arrow III ZK-TGF2.

Cameron and Vaughn were jointly awarded the Marc Baldwin and George Anderson Memorial Trophy.
