It would be remiss of us if we didn't mention the first flyin in the world for 2026 which this year was held at Athol and Betty Sowry's Athbey Farm near Woodville on 1 January 2026.
Members from the Feilding Flying Club attended and they have posted photos on Facebook. In this view you can see the T&L Sting ZK-SAL, Piper Cub ZK-KSS, Airtourer 61 (ZK-LDG), Aviat Husky ZK-USK partly hidden. Piper Super Cub ZK-BRP, Tim Bygate Tiger Hawk ZK-THK, Dyn Aero MCR ZK-TFB, Pazmany PL 2 ZK-TLP partly hidden, Minicab ZK-RJK partly hidden, Maule MXT-7 ZK-JQY and Tecnam Bravo ZK-LLY. The Sowry's also had a display of vintage tractors and bulldozers for the flyin attendees to have a look at.
