Noted at Christchurch International Airport yesterday (11-03-2025) was the Rockwell Commander 690A ZK-PVB c/n 11321.
Originally flying as N81430 from March of 1977 out of Oklahoma City with Downtown Airpark Inc until a move to Australia six months later where it became VH-DLK with the Australian Department of Lands at Netley, South Australia from 17-09-1976.
It continued in Australian Government service until ferried into Auckland on 09-10-1999 with its VH registration being cancelled on 17-02-2000.
From 18-02-2000 it became ZK-PVB with the New Zealand Aerial Mapping Ltd of Albany.
On 25-02-2016 title changed to Air Chathams Ltd and it continued in its aerial survey role as required.
It flew from Nelson to Christchurch on the 9th via some convoluted east coast maneuvering.
