Paraparaumu on the 20th.

Tony McFarlin called in to Paraparaumu on 20-02-2022 and caught these two long time Kapiti Aero Club Members.

Cessna A152 Aerobat ZK-JEN (c/n A152-0868) was imported by Dalhoff and King with the intention of registering it as ZK-EOT.
In the event it was sold to the New Plymouth Aero Club and became ZK-NPB instead on 21-06-1979.
It was sold to the Kapiti Districts Aero Club and re-registered as ZK-JEN on 21-12-1994.

ZK-JEN below at Paraparaumu on 20-02-2022.
Doesn't appear to have changed a great deal over the years.
Theo Nightingall of Wellington built Falconar F 11 ZK-KEA (c/n AACA/490) as a F 11-3 with the folding wings and a sprung steel undercarriage. He built it in a large shed beside Wellington Airport so he could fold the wings and tow the aircraft to the shed through a gate in the airport fence. He also built it with a lowered turtle deck for improved rearward visibility. ZK-KEA was first registered on 19-11-1982 and its first flight was on 04-12-1982. It is photo'd above very early on in its life at the 1983 AACA flyin at Paraparaumu.  It was sold to L S and S S Mabey of wellington on 24-11-1986, and finally to T Haggett of Palmerston North.  It languished in storage at Feilding for many years until it was rescued and sold to the Manawatu Aviation Club on 23/12/20.  They got it flying again and on 22/7/21 it was sold to PWM Bulfin of Waikanae.

ZK-KEA below as seen on 20-02-2022 looking to be in fine health.
