I caught the Boeing Stearman E75
ZK-RDK , c/n 75-5164 , at start up on Wednesday morning. (22-09-2010) at Ashburton. Off to get some air time before the Nor'westerly picked up.
An earlier blog and Question time has pretty much sorted out its history.

Richard---I finally found 317 on the web. She is just as beautiful as when we finished her restoration. I'd like to make a suggestion, the covers on the wheels were aluminium in color, not yellow, according to the Army/Navy paint scheme that we found at the Smithsonian restoration center. I can smell the exhaust when she starts even now and the cranking sound is unmistakable.
